ISH24 Rescue Training Centre
The ISH24 Rescue Training Centre is the most modern and versatile training facility in Australia. The Rescue Centre is a unique, custom-designed training facility that allows for the set up of a variety of training scenarios, for learners of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
The purpose-built training centre includes 14 confined spaces, 20+ m heights, and capacity for dozens of unique training scenarios contextualised to each client industry. The versatility of the training premises makes it the ideal location for harnessing skills in:
- Vertical rescue
- Search and rescue
- Rope access
- Confined space rescue
- Advanced casualty management
- Vertical road crash rescue
Since opening its doors in 2018, the ISH24 Rescue Training Centre has been consistently undergoing upgrades in order to facilitate more innovative, creative, and immersive training experiences.
SAFESCAPE LADDER TUBE
A SAFESCAPE Ladder Tube has been installed inside one of the 23m silos. The SAFESCAPE is fully-enclosed polyethylene escapeway system designed specifically for use in underground mines. This innovative safety products is used on mine sites nationally and abroad, and enables us to design creative and challenging training scenarios that are uniquely tailored to our clients’ needs.
Rescue Challenges & Competitions
The multi-faceted nature of the training facilities is ideal not just for training but to challenge the technical skills of the most experienced rescue teams, which is why the ISH24 Rescue Centre has been host to the 2021 ISH24 Rescue Challenge as well as a scenario location for the Victorian Mine Rescue Competition 2022.
